My name is Dean Matthews. I own and operate Dean's Taxidermy located at my home in Pine Hall N.C. Where I live with my wife Jada and our three children Mark, Ashley and Tyler. The shop is operated as a part time business due to my full time job as a Paramedic Supervisor for Rockingham County Emergency Services for over the past 16 years. I have always been an avid hunter and fisherman and decided to learn taxidermy around 14 years ago and have had the shop opened for the past 11 years. My main goal has always been to produce top quality work for my customers. To make sure each piece has that quality I only use the best supplies from the top suppliers. I am firmly dedicated to the art of taxidermy and treat each mount with the utmost care from the time you drop it off till the time you pick it up. I only take in a limited amount of work each year which allows me to dedicate myself to each piece and keep my turnaround times at a minimum which depends on overall work load. As a working man myself I understand the value of a dollar and having my shop at my home I don't have the high overhead that other business may have which allows me to keep my prices down so I can pass the savings on to the customer.
